HOW TO KEEP YOUR HIGHLIGHTS HEALTHY!

Whether you've got curls or straight locks, I think it's safe to say that both deserve some needed care. That's even more true if you dye your hair often or have highlights. 

For a few years I used to dye my own hair, but for the longest time I wanted to change up my look by trying out highlights. When I came across a professional who I trusted to help transform my curls into something more fun and bright, I went for it. 

A Big Tip: Definitely get someone who knows what they're doing to make your hair vision a reality. You'll be so HAPPY afterwards! I honestly never loved my hair as much as I do now. My hairdresser hit a home run from the start!!!

My dream was to get dark blonde highlights all over my dark locks to add texture. Also, I find that highlights sit so well with curls as if they get bouncier and more alive. After getting them done, I wanted to start taking better care of my hair. Before, I've never been one to shower it with lots of products or use any heat on it. However, now that I have found the BEST hair products, I can't get enough! These products completely improved the health of my crown and are still keeping my blonde highlights shiny and nourished. I'm talking about Carol's Daughter amazing hair styling products!!! Have you tried them?           

You can easily start out your collection by getting the main two products (the shampoo and conditioner), which will do your hair wonders. Both are blended with castor oil, black seed oil and ginger, which makes for one strengthening combination. Use them in the shower one after the other. Once I get out with my hair still damp, I like to add the Carol's daughter hair oil to the scalp and the ends of my hair. Softly massage it in and once that's done finish it off with the divine strength leave-in cream to help keep your hair nourished as it gets longer. You don't need to rinse it off afterwards!  Finally, I give my hair a final brush, before using the blow-dryer to make my curls bouncier and happier. Literally, afterwards my curls form the perfect spirals and my hair gets softer, bigger and thicker. Super simple right? 

In the middle of the week, as a little pamper I like to use the hair mask. I usually do it on Wednesdays. This one takes a few more minutes because you're supposed to damp your hair. Once you get out or you can even do in the shower while you shave; you apply the mask and then leave it in for 5 minutes. After that give it a quick rinse and you'll feel your hair glossy and very moisturized from this amazing product. Also, I have noticed that with using a hair mask once a week, my hair grows faster. It's a good thing for those of you looking to grow-out your hair for the summer...😉
