SAMSUNG GALAXY S20 5G: CAN IT SHOOT BETTER PHOTOS THAN A DSLR CAMERA?

Hello everyone,

My life revolves around photos! Literally... in my mind, I see places, details, people in a single capture. I know, call me CRAZY, but I can't help it!!! I always have to remind myself to let these Polaroids stop rolling.

However, most of the time I'm so inspired and always up to capturing the beauty of life as it goes. Through photography, I got into blogging about fashion. I felt it was time to let my photographer, also my sister, Daniela, take charge as I saw myself being in front of the camera. My favorite way of expressing myself through my ability to put outfits together. It's fun, always vibrant and so me! 💖

My sister and I share this love for photography. Seeing the world in its most raw forms with its deep edges or soft brushstrokes. It's an art, that has always created a powerful bond between us. I enjoy having her help my vision come to life as she's become one talented photographer.

Since her love for taking photos has grown, Daniela is always looking to improve her equipment and find the perfect camera. I think every creative soul can relate! Two weeks ago, she bought the Samsung Galaxy S20 5G. What better way to experiment with something new? We decided to test the camera on this phone and see if it can be used instead of her heavy duty digital one. For those of you wondering, my sister has used Canon Rebel EOS T7i for the past few years.

Let this photo adventure begin!!!

Many of you will agree that there are a lot of benefits of using your phone to take photos. One major factor is that your phone is always with you and it's light to carry around, unlike your DSLR camera, which you might even need to pack in your equipment bag with different lenses depending on the type of scene, mood, and style of photography you're going for that day.

One thing that impressed us both about the Samsung S20 is the quality of the photos. The pixels resolution impressed us. It's not as good as a DSLR, for obvious reasons, but it's pretty darn close, especially if the photos you take on your phone will be primarily used for social media. This has been the biggest reason why we have stayed away from shooting with the phone up until now. From the images above, you can see the detail and sharpness.

Something else that is worth mentioning is the creativity that this phone allows you to shoot at. From wide-angle to macro zoom options you can really "play with your subject" and let your vision come to live. The zoom easily allows you to capture the pretty detail of raindrops dancing on a flower or the mysterious texture of the flower itself. It's something we want to experiment more of since these kind of details thrill us.

My sister and I definitely plan on continuing to use the Samsung S20 for photo-shoots because it really is the best quality we have seen in photos coming from a phone. We're going to give the Canon camera a nice break and maybe use it only for very special projects. How about you?...What do you use to take photos? If you own the Samsung S20, what are your impressions of it? I would love to know!!! 📱

I hope this post was interesting to those of you who love photography as much as we do. We can't wait to share with you lots more tips and tricks as we continue to experiment with this phone. Until then, keep doing what you love the MOST! Talk soon!!! 💕

INSTAGRAM ROUND UP: QUARANTINE EDITION!

Hello everyone,

Staying at home for more than a month now, trying to figure out ways to keep ourselves entertained has become part of our daily routine during this pandemic. I don't know if everyone is like this, but I need to constantly be doing something or in some way to keep busy. So, this is the challenge, but also, I try to find healthy ways of feeding my mind, body, and soul with as much positivism as I can. I've tried everything from drawing to joining in the pillow dress challenge on Instagram to keep myself inspired. So far it has been FUN

I know at times it can get harder to be creative, but we can always take a short break and return with a bang. For me, Instagram has always been a source of inspiration, and now more than ever, as I see funny memes, cozy home outfits, fun challenges, adorable pets. Mostly, I see the way we're all trying to cheer-up each other through the concept of a single photo. We're connecting in ways we've never connected before! 💕

Since I LOVE Instagram and have been posting more frequently (from my home of course), I thought it would be fun to share a few of my quarantine photos. I hope they add some brightness to your day! Also, I would love to see your quarantine images. Anything from a movie that has made you happy to a make-up look you might have recreated.

Let's Spread INSTA-LOVE

One thing that has always been important to me is self-care. Doing frequent face masks, massages, exercising and more. It might sound silly, but with the quarantine happening, I've loved letting my nails breath...meaning, I haven't painted them in weeks. That natural feeling is something I have missed, as I'm one to change up my nail polish weekly. Yay...no more nail stains! What's something you've found useful even during these hard times?

Something else that has been a true blessing is working-out with my sister. We head outside for an exercise daily, which is super fun. It's the hobby I look forward to each day with excitement because we not only pump up the music, but also get to spend some time together. This usually doesn't happen in our "normal lives" as we're both busy. Times like these for sure make you appreciate what's real!

Also, I know I've had my leggings glued to me, but from time to time, as you can see, I still dress-up and think of fresh new outfits to show. Ones that I would wear during this spring if we were able to go out. Now even putting on make-up feels like a privilege, right? However, it's a great advantage to let your skin breath and to sees the joy in the simplest of things.
A new outfit I've come-up with is my pillow dress. It follows me everywhere! 😂 From the couch to the kitchen and back again. hahaha
One of the fun challenges I came across on Instagram and knew I had to try. Have you seen it? If you haven't, you should totally check it out...everyone makes it look super chic and cool!

Keeping myself entertained, I've also danced in the rain, tried making the whipped dalgona coffee, seen the rainbow twice in two different days, found new music to make me smile, and keep posting on my Instagram. What's your favorite memory of staying at home so far?

Well that's it for my round-up in photos! See you on Instagram for lots more!!! 💋

As always stay safe! Talk soon!

SOCIALIZING SOLO!

Hello everyone,

What day is it? Month?...Anybody? A bit hard to keep track as the weekends somewhat feel like the weekdays. There is no going to the movies, going dancing or doing fun activities, which I always look forward to during the weekend. My way of recharging! However, recently I started drawing...haven't done so since my school days. You might have seen my "lion masterpiece" on my Instagram story 😂 A lot more fun than I remembered, and you know what? I'm going to move on to drawing my next animal tomorrow. You can join me if you would like!

So, how is quarantine life going for you? I want to know, what have been some of your challenges and wonderful discoveries during this time?

To keep sane and to get content for the blog, as I promised, on this day I got dressed and enjoyed dancing/walking in the rain. Words can't describe how magical it was! The water reflections of rainy palm trees, the tranquil silence with only the music of raindrops beating on the ground. Total Perfection!!! So it really has been the little things, that have made a BIG difference during this pandemic.

Now let's jump into the outfit of the day! Again casual, but with a cool spin as I like gambling...with my choice of clothes! hahaha!

Continuing with the more athleisure wear since these days that's mostly what I have been wearing. Honestly, it feels like I haven't worn heels in ages. Plus, my feet don't have any blisters for the first time in so long...that's extra points for being in quarantine.

Let the joggers game continue! The camo print here, makes me feel as if I'm wearing some fancy pants. In fact, it would be a good idea to see if my skinny jeans still fit! hahaha...I have no idea! After this, wearing your denim jeans for the first time will feel equivalent to wearing a night-out dress. And I'm sure we'll be smiling real BIG when this day arrives.Until then comfy joggers and a cute tee are your best friends!

Originally this look was going to be a bit more spring with sandals. The rain made me rethink this decision. I opted for a pair of boots. Not just any kind of boots, but ones with a heel, which made me feel great stepping into. I've missed that ankle arch! hahaha What's something you can't wait to wear again?

And just like that this outfit is going straight to the couch! hahaha I'll be day dreaming of the days when I get to wear it out and about. I mean what else is there to do besides eating! hahaha

I hope your week is going well! Stay Safe! 💓

WORK FROM HOME: WHAT TO WEAR!

Hello everyone,

Since the pandemic our daily routines have changed in so many ways. A lot of things like work, exercise, ordering food are now done from home. There's no better time to be greatly thankful for the internet than now since we're so dependent on it to feel somewhat normal and productive. Long gone are the days when we felt like having a phone was a burden as we had to keep up with everything from e-mails to endless scrolls through Instagram. Currently, every minute spend online feels like a breath of fresh air!

And of course, this is no time to be lazy or to start dreading each day. Instead, we can make our own daily plans and fill in every day with things that must-be accomplished like work stuff . In between we can add fun activities to help us stay motivated, inspired. What do you think?

I know a lot of us have made our own at-home work space where we spend time working...taking video calls, answering messages and tackling any important responsibilities. Well, since we're all in the same boat, I thought it's only right to share with you an outfit which can bring-out the BOSS in you. A look that's comfortable, yet very professional!

With a dab of natural make-up combined with this outfit, you'll be more than READY for any video conference call. Let's slay working from home!!!

Working from the comfort of your own home can be a BIG plus in that you don't have to wear a pencil skirt, trousers or high pumps. Save these pieces for the office once things get back to normal. As for now, you can take advantage of wearing more comfortable items, which can still put you in the mood of getting work done. How do you like the sound of that?...literally the best of both worlds!

So you're heading to a virtual meeting on your laptop, what should you wear?

Most definitely you can throw on a nice pair of comfy leggings, stretchy - a great alternative for the hours you'll be spending in front of the screen. It's likely that no one will see your legs as you'll be sitting, so don't go wearing jeans or anything else too formal. Also, you can add your most fuzzy slippers. Don't you just wish you could go to work like that even after the pandemic passes?

You'll be seen from the waist up, so here you can let your effort show. Throw on a nice clean tee and a fitted blazer over it. You'll look presentable, someone who is ready to give it their all! Also, you can add one piece of jewelry like a tiny necklace or hoop earrings instead. Don't forget to style your hair, apply a more natural make-up. I would add a bit of lip-gloss on the lips and let's get to work!!!

Do you dress-up even when working from home or are you a pj's kind of gal?
