My life revolves around photos! Literally... in my mind, I see places, details, people in a single capture. I know, call me CRAZY, but I can't help it!!! I always have to remind myself to let these Polaroids stop rolling.
However, most of the time I'm so inspired and always up to capturing the beauty of life as it goes. Through photography, I got into blogging about fashion. I felt it was time to let my photographer, also my sister, Daniela, take charge as I saw myself being in front of the camera. My favorite way of expressing myself through my ability to put outfits together. It's fun, always vibrant and so me! 💖
My sister and I share this love for photography. Seeing the world in its most raw forms with its deep edges or soft brushstrokes. It's an art, that has always created a powerful bond between us. I enjoy having her help my vision come to life as she's become one talented photographer.
Since her love for taking photos has grown, Daniela is always looking to improve her equipment and find the perfect camera. I think every creative soul can relate! Two weeks ago, she bought the Samsung Galaxy S20 5G. What better way to experiment with something new? We decided to test the camera on this phone and see if it can be used instead of her heavy duty digital one. For those of you wondering, my sister has used Canon Rebel EOS T7i for the past few years.
Let this photo adventure begin!!!
Many of you will agree that there are a lot of benefits of using your phone to take photos. One major factor is that your phone is always with you and it's light to carry around, unlike your DSLR camera, which you might even need to pack in your equipment bag with different lenses depending on the type of scene, mood, and style of photography you're going for that day.
One thing that impressed us both about the Samsung S20 is the quality of the photos. The pixels resolution impressed us. It's not as good as a DSLR, for obvious reasons, but it's pretty darn close, especially if the photos you take on your phone will be primarily used for social media. This has been the biggest reason why we have stayed away from shooting with the phone up until now. From the images above, you can see the detail and sharpness.
Something else that is worth mentioning is the creativity that this phone allows you to shoot at. From wide-angle to macro zoom options you can really "play with your subject" and let your vision come to live. The zoom easily allows you to capture the pretty detail of raindrops dancing on a flower or the mysterious texture of the flower itself. It's something we want to experiment more of since these kind of details thrill us.
My sister and I definitely plan on continuing to use the Samsung S20 for photo-shoots because it really is the best quality we have seen in photos coming from a phone. We're going to give the Canon camera a nice break and maybe use it only for very special projects. How about you?...What do you use to take photos? If you own the Samsung S20, what are your impressions of it? I would love to know!!! 📱
I hope this post was interesting to those of you who love photography as much as we do. We can't wait to share with you lots more tips and tricks as we continue to experiment with this phone. Until then, keep doing what you love the MOST! Talk soon!!! 💕
